Setup: What I did for my signature in MAC mail, was create the signature I wanted in a blank email. Then I copied everything, opened email account settings/preferences and pasted it into the signature box, save. I use MAC mail which is similar to outlook. You might need to ask google for help in configuring yours. I do not see it animating on draft/composing though, so shoot yourself a test to see :)

Gmail: just go to settings for gmail, and upload image to signature box

Some providers like AOL and YAHOO need a HTML code, if you need one, please let us know.
